Isaac Toussie: Side Step Nutrition Scams and Frauds â Eat Celery

Celery has an ancient and prestigious pedigree in human history, apparently as medicine first. It was mentioned as medicine nowhere other than in The Odyssey. Its use as food may have begun with the Romans, who first used it as seasoning, to which task celery's distinct aromatic fragrance certainly well lends itself. The tradition has survived down to this day, as this vegetable is often used as a flavor enhancer or garnish in everything from soups and stews to salads and dips.

Celery provides quite a number of nutritional and health-promoting benefits, proving its age-old reputation. It contains the antioxidant compounds called coumains, which our immune systems' ability to eliminate potentially harmful cells. Celery's power to reduce blood pressure had long been recognized by traditional Chinese medicine; it contains plenty of pthalides, which may help to reduce blood pressure by relaxing the tiny muscles of the arteries, allowing the vessels to dilate. It also contains the flavonoids apigenin, luteolin, and quercetin. Celery is a good source of potassium, folate, and Vitamin B6. It also provides calcium and magnesium. Celery also seems able to lower cholesterol. Like almost all vegetables, celery contains a high amount of Vitamin C. Wild celery seeds can also act as diuretics, due to the potassium and sodium that is found in the plant.

There are a few varieties of celery. These are Pacal, white, Chinese, and celeriac. Celeriac is also known as celery root, while Chinese Celery looks like a cross between parsley and celery. White celery is grown shaded from direct sunlight, which inhibits the production of the chlorophyll that is responsible for a plant's green color. Pascal Celery is the well-know type found in most supermarkets. The peak season for celery is during the summer months, though it is available year-round in the United States due to Florida and California.

People have said that it is of course important to watch out for food scams, as fraud could exist on food labels. I, Isaac Toussie, pardon the thought, think that today, when so many people are concerned about issues like housing and work place discrimination, fashion, entertainment, real estate, mortgages, vacations and the like, issues like food quality and food awareness may become unnecessarily overshadowed.

Getting a Divorce Can Be Hard on Your Well Being.
My friend recently went through it and there were many stages to the divorce cycle that you should probably know are coming to be better prepared and make life easier for yourself and those around you.

First there was just the question of separating. They have three kids which made this really hard on her to leave him.

But honestly how happy are you going to be when you are living with a man or woman you don't love, with three kids to boot. You make yourself miserable and believe me…kids can sense that you are not happy no matter how much you try to hide it.

The constant back and forth of whether she should leave took much conversation and thinking on her part. To leave something and someone that has been permanent to your life and to do something else is scary. But scary is good. That means you are not a drone to life. You are really living. And once you get over the scary hurdle it becomes easy again. If there was no scary then we would all just ride through life not learning anything.

Finally she decided to leave, but because she had spent so long preparing she had a plan in effect and it made the transition a little easier on her and the kids. She knew when she was going to leave, where she was going to go, what she needed to get done to leave, where to have her kids while she left, and so on and so forth.

After she left, and started to begin her new life, she spent a long time putting off the divorce. I call that her buffer time.

That's where you don't want to cut that tie of marriage because it's something that is familiar and something that you could, if you wanted to, go back to. Once you start the divorce it's putting a stamp on your marriage and old life saying that you are really going in another direction and again that's scary.

And then, after realizing that she was going to be okay on her own, she got the divorce. I have never seen her so happy. Not even at her wedding. Go figure.

Again though she had spent some time researching exactly what she needed to do so that there were no snags along the way. She had everything in order in this binder and knew what every term regarding divorce meant.

Now she has moved on and is in a new relationship. Both her and her kids are way better off for it and the ex-spouse has even showed more of his true colors now that he knows he's not getting her back.

The point to divorce is to move on with your life with or without your ex-spouse. You can't stay in a loveless marriage because it affects every single part of your life. You can't be fully happy when one part of your life is not fully happy.

Once you break free from that unhappiness you have the chance to live the real life you were meant to live.

Your marriage wasn't a failed marriage, it was just a lesson learned in what you don't want. In essence, it was in your life to show you how to really be happy.

In any case divorce is still very stressful and there is lots of paperwork and phone calls to be done. And if you have kids there is their emotional well-being to think of as well.

This woman, Dr. Reena Sommer, has spent the past 18 years working with divorcing families. She is very familiar with the challenges they face – the most important one being – not understanding what the divorcing process is all about. If you want some good information check her out.

I suggest that you talk to someone like her or read what she has to say about everything involving divorce before you actually do it. It takes away all those 'what about this' thoughts and leaves you focused on taking care of you well-being, which is why you should be getting a divorce in the first place.

The History of Wireless Networking

In 1888, a Hamburg, Germany born physicist named Heinrich Rudolf Herz produced his first radio wave ever. By 1894 this radio wave production became a way of communication. Telegraph wires were used to receive the radio waves in signal form. Herz opened the way for radio, television, and radar with his discovery of electromagnetic waves. An Italian inventor named Marchese Guglielmo Marconi then expanded the radius of radio wave sending to two miles, becoming the "father of the radio." By 1899, this form of telecommunication could travel pretty far for its time. Marconi could send a signal 9 miles across the Bristol Channel. He eventually expanded the radius to 31 miles across the English Channel to France. By 1901 the communication area became immense. Marconi could send signals across the entire Atlantic Ocean.

World War II became a big stepping stone for the radio wave. The United States was the first party to use radio waves for data transmission during the war. This use of radio waves could have quite possibly won the war for the Americans. The use of radio wave data communication lead to a lot of speculation to whether the radio signals could be expanded into something bigger than it currently was. In 1971, a group of researchers under the lead of Norman Abramson, at the University of Hawaii, created the first "packet-switched" radio communications network entitled "Alohanet." Alohanet was the first wireless local area network, otherwise known as a WLAN. The first WLAN was not much, but it was a large discovery. The Alohanet WLAN was comprised of seven computers that communicated to each other. In 1972, Alohanet connected with the WLAN system Arpanet on the mainland. This length of connect was ground breaking in telecommunications between computers.

The first types of WLAN technology used an interface in which became over crowded for communication. Small appliances and industrial machinery caused interference so the technology had to be updated. The second type of WLAN technology to be released ended up being four times faster than its predecessor at 2Mbps per second. We use the third format of WLAN today, though our current WLAN system runs at the same speed as the second system released.

In 1990, the 802.11 Working Group was established to work towards a WLAN standard for all computers to communicate from. In 1997, IEEE 802.11 was accepted as the standard data communication format for wireless local area networks. The technology continues to grow today. Governments and large corporations are constantly looking out for the latest and fastest standard to work from.

The expansion of wireless networking will likely continue for decades to come.
